2.1. Nomen novum

Hübner (1821: [3]), zitiert nach der Faksimile-Wiedergabe von Hemming (1937: 559): „Dorantes Pap. gent. f. Astycus fortis: Goniurus Teleus.“

Hemming (1937: 556) löst diesen Eintrag in Hübners Index exoticorum Lepidopterorum auf: „Proposed as a nom. nov. pro Urbanus fortis Dorantes Hübner, [1808], Samml. ex. Schmett. 1 pl. [154].“

Zhang, Cong & Grishin (2023: 6) halten den zweiten abgebildeten Falter für fehlbestimmt: “While illustration number 1 (top of the page, dorsal image) agrees with what Evans (1952: 93) called “Urbanus teleus”—a species currently placed in the genus Spicauda Grishin, 2019 (Li et al. 2019), illustration number 2 (just below No. 1, also dorsal image) does not, and in our opinion could be a species known today as Spicauda procne (Plötz, 1881) (type locality in Brazil).”
