Walsingham (1903: 264) berichtete in der Erstbeschreibung der Art: "Malaga, 3.11— 21.III ; Larva in dry seed-heads of Asteriscus mauretanicus, 1. excl. 27.1 — 2S. III. 1902" [...] The larvae were extremely common in dry seed-heads of Asteriscus mauretanicus, and much more easily reared than is seminivora."
