3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Lemaire & Janzen (1996: 61): “Pseudodirphia lacsa is named in honor of Lineas Aereas Costarricense, S. A., or LACSA, the national airline of Costa Rica. This patronym emphatically recognizes LACSA's two decades of donated and hith quality services of transporting specimens and supplies for the exploration of the moth fauna of Costa Rica by individual scientists, the Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (INBio), and the Museo Nacional de Costa Rica.”

Lemaire & Janzen (1996: 61): “Holotype ♂: COSTA RICA.– Cartago Prov., Tapantí, 1600m, 19 Aug 1985 (F. Bénéluz).” — Paratypen: 20 ♂♂ und 1 ♀, davon 1 ♂ aus Panama, alle anderen Exemplare aus Costa Rica. “The types collected by F. Bénéluz and T. Porion are deposited in the C. Lemaire collection, in the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris.”
