2.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Hou et al. (2023: 6) erklären: "The name of the new species is taken from the type locality, Yunnan Province. Latin feminine ending "a" is added to make it consistent with the gender feminine as the genus Pseudocoladenia."

2.2. Taxonomie und Faunistik

Die Tiere der hier neu beschriebenen Art waren bisher in P. dea integriert. Fan, Cao & Hou in Hou et al. (2023: 5-6) erklärten aber: "Forewing spots in spaces R 3-5 are more neatly arranged and smaller than P. dea. Male genitalia, the brachium-like process is similar to that of P. dea, the ventrodistal process of the valva is shortest in this species group, outer edge of harpe is flatter, spine long and narrow." Aus genetischer Sicht ist sie Schwester zum Artenpaar P. dea / P. decora. P. yunnana ist auf den Norden der Provinz Yunnan im Südosten von China beschränkt.
