Emmerson & Hoare (2019: 67) wrote about Albany (Auckland): "First recorded 23 January 2010. Now fairly common from January until May; occasionally abundant, as on one night in March 2012, when there were 28 in one trap. This handsome Australian species was first recorded in New Zealand in February 2007 and has adapted well."
