Meyrick (1927: 102) beschrieb seine neue Art (und Gattung) von Samoa, konkret nach einem Einzelexemplar von "Upolu, Malololelei, 2,000 feet". Hsu & Powell (2005: 35) akzeptieren die bisher monotypische Gattung und ihre Art.
