Kozlov et al. (2019: 79) schreiben zur Art: "A locally abundant Beringian species, which lives on Pedicularis oederi Wahl. (Kuznetsov 1978). The foodplant has a gap in distribution between Scandinavian mountain regions and northern Russia (Hultén 1986), which may explain the absence of this species in northern Fennoscandia."
