Walsingham (1900: 435-436) beschrieb seine neue Art nach 4 Faltern aus "Syria - Beyrout" (also Beirut im Libanon) und "Palestine". Kennel (1901: 302) führte als Typenlokalität seines Synonyms "Pammene macilentana" ebenfalls Beirut im Libanon an.

Huemer et al. (2025) meldeten die Art erstmals für Zypern und damit neu für Europa i.w.S.: "1 male: Cyprus, Paphos district, Prastio, 286m, 34.7909°N, 32.693°E, 3.iv.2002, J. Junnilainen leg. & det. Genitalia in glycerol."
