2. Diagnose

2.1. Falter und Genitalien

Leo Vähätalo meldete uns (per e-Mail am 27. September 2022 an Jürgen Rodeland): "The genitalia of O. imbutella can be found here: http://tun.fi/JX.1015382#123 and the imago here: http://tun.fi/GBRD.310. The identification was confirmed by Lvovsky via email (26.9.2022). Unfortunately, in the imago link the identification is given incorrectly as Agonopterix sp., but I do not have the authorization to edit that data."

3. Weitere Informationen

3.1. Andere Kombinationen

  • Depressaria imbutella Christoph, 1888 [Originalkombination]
  • Agonopterix imbutella (Christoph, 1888) [so z.B. bei Koçak & Kemal (2018)]

3.2. Taxonomie

Leo Vähätalo meldete uns (per e-Mail am 27. September 2022 an Jürgen Rodeland): "Additionally, I noticed Orophia imbutella (Christoph, 1888) is under the genus Agonopterix on Lepiforum. This species was transferred from Depressaria to Orophia on the basis of genitalia by Lvovsky (2003) in: Check-list of the broad-winged moths (Oecophoridae s. 1.) of Russia and adjacent countries. Nota lepid. 25 (4)." Lvovsky (2003: 219) begründete konkret: "O. imbutella (Christoph, 1888) comb. n. [= Depressaria imbutella Christoph, 1888)] - Georgia. Note: the peculiar double gnathos and reduced tegumen in the male genitalia explain the transfer of this species to the genus Orophia Hübner, 1825."

3.3. Faunistik

Leo Vähätalo meldete uns (per e-Mail am 27. September 2022 an Jürgen Rodeland): "The updated distribution is given in "Lvovsky A.L. 2006. Check-list of the broad-winged and flat moths (Lepidoptera: Oecophoridae, Chimabachidae, Amphisbatidae, Depressariidae) of the fauna of Russia and adjacent countries. Proceedings of the Zoological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, 307: 1–118": Georgia (type locality Borjomi), Turkey and Israel."
