Murayama & Shimonoya (1963: 53) beschrieben das Taxon als Unterart Ochlodes siva yuchingkina nach einem einzigen Falter: “Holotype 1 ♂, Mt. Sylvia, VI. 1961, 前翅 長 [Vorderflügellänge] 17 mm ド野谷所蔵 [Sammlung von Noya]”.

Huang, Wu & Yu (2026: 275) erhoben das Taxon in den Artstatus.
