Hayward (1939: 518): “Holotype ♂ and a paratype ♂ from Sucua (Rio Upana, 900 metres), five paratypes ♂♂ from Puyo (Oriente, 1000 metres), paratype ♂ from Macas (1000 metres, Rio Upana), all in Ecuador, collected by F. M. and Mrs. H. H. Martin Brown. The holotype ♂ and the Macas paratype deposited in the collection of the American Museum of Natural History, the Sucua paratype deposited in the collection of the Philadelphia Academy of Matural Sciences, the remainder in my collection.”
