Becker (2021: 49) studied material from Mexico, the USA (Hawaii), Cuba, British Virgin Islands, Ecuador, and Brazil. Also, he mentions other countries where the species is distributed: Argentina, Australia (introduced), New Caledonia (introduced), South Africa (introduced). “The South African introduction was apparently not successful (BAARS, 2003).”
