2.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Tóth & Ronkay (2015) erklären: "The species name reflects to the lead grey ground colour of the wings."

2.2. Faunistik

Die Art ist bisher nur durch den Holotypus vom Südwest-Fuß des Kanchenjunga-Massifs in Nepal bekannt.

2.3. Typenmaterial

Tóth & Ronkay (2015) beschrieben die Art nach einem einzelnen Weibchen: "Holotype. ♀, Nepal: Koshi, Taplejung area, near Dhoban, 820 m, 28.III.1996, leg. G. Csorba & L. Ronkay; slide No. RL7917f (coll. HNHM)."
