Higgins (1941: 260) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen Falter: “Described from a single male specimal labelled “ Persia ” without further data. Type in the British Museum.”

2.2. Faunistik

Churkin (2000: 119) stellt den von Higgins (1941) angegebenen Locus typicus in Frage: “Type locality Persia is wrong, probably the West part of the Gissar system close to Samarkand.”
