2.1. Nahrung der Raupe
Noch unbekannt! Vermutlich sind alle Arten der Gattung Detritusfresser. Kitajima & Sakamaki (2019: 40) können Interessantes berichten: "The larva is a case-bearer, collected from moss near the river. The case is composed of dead leaves from broad-leaved trees, making semioblong structure. The length of the case is 9.1 mm(Fig. 30". Sie zeigen diese Weibchen-Säcke also auch, gemeinsam mit denen von M. tamraensis und sie schreiben dazu: "Larvae of M. tamraensis and M. flavilineata sp. nov. were collected on the same date and location from moss near a river in Toyono-Town, Ôsaka-fu. These species have sympatric distributions."

3. Weitere Informationen
3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
Kitajima & Sakamaki (2019: 40) erklären: "The new species name is derived from the Latin, flavilineata(= yellow lined)referring to the yellow line of the forewing."
3.2. Taxonomie und Faunistik
Kitajima & Sakamaki (2019: 39-41) beschrieben ihre neue Art in der Familie Oecophoridae. Alle ihre Funde stammten dabei aus Japan: "The new species is widely distributed in Honshû, Shikoku, Kyûshû, and Ryûkyû in Japan." Und dann wird es besonders interessant, weil sich die Art möglicherweise parthenogenetisch fortpflanzt, also auf jeden Fall erst einmal keine Männchen bekannt sind: "We found 56 adult specimens of the new species, but no male has been found to date."
Japan (Kitajima & Sakamaki 2019)".
3.3. Typenmaterial
Kitajima & Sakamaki (2019: 42) listeten ihr Typenmaterial aus Japan: "HOLOTYPE - JAPAN:[Ryûkyû]♀, Iji, Kunigami-gun, Okinawa-ken, 2. vi. 2017, YK,(♀ Gen sl. No. 65), deposited in the collection of KGU. - PARATYPES - JAPAN:[Honshû]♀, Toyono-cho, Hatutani, Ôsaka-fu, 31. v. 1999, ex moss in wet land, TS, deposited in the collection of OPU.
