3.1. Taxonomie und Faunistik

Die Art wurde aus Saudi-Arabien beschrieben, nach [Afromoths] kamen später noch Funde aus dem Jemen und aus Oman hinzu.

3.2. Typenmaterial

Nach [Afromoths] tragen alle 27 Typusexemplare das Etikett "[Saudi Arabia], Arabia, Kashabiya, 10.i.1937, leg. H. St. J. Philby." Aufbewahrungsort von Holotypus, Allotypus und Paratypen ist "NHMUK".
