2.1. Männchen-Genital

Corley & Ferreira (2025: 129)erklären: Megacraspedus terryae differs from all other Megacraspedus species except M.transmontanus and M. dinensis, in the presence of crisped fibres on the basal part of the gnathos. The wide basal part of the gnathos and the untidy mass of spines on the aedeagus distinguish this species from these two species."

4.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Corley & Ferreira (2025: 129) erklären: "The species is named in honour of Rachel Terry who collected the first known specimens during her first visit to Portugal."

4.2. Taxonomie

Die Art gehört in die Artengruppe um M. pusillus. Corley & Ferreira (2025: 129) melden zur Genetik: "Molecular data: INV09960 (IBILP3012-21) and INV09961 (IBILP3013-21) both in BIN BOLD:AEI1274, (n = 2); INV10437 (IBILP3016-21) in BIN BOLD:AFR1326. The distance to the nearest neighbour M. tenuiuncus 5.5 %."

4.3. Faunistik

Corley & Ferreira (2025: 129) umreißen die bisher bekannte Verbreitung (2 Fundorte im Abstand von 57 km): "Jurassic limestone of central Portugal (Beira Litoral)."
