2.2. Taxonomie

Huemer & Karsholt (2018) kombinieren die Art neu mit Megacraspedus und stellen sie in die "Megacraspedus fallax species group". Barcode-Daten fehlen bislang.

2.3. Faunistik

Amsel (1935: 382) beschrieb seine neue Art vom Georgskloster in der heuigen Westbank (Palästinensische Autonomiegebiete). Huemer & Karsholt (2018) meldeten die Art auch aus dem Iran: "1 ♂, 1 ♀, 40 km N of Bandar-Abbas, 7.iv.1972, genitalia slides Mus. Vind. 16.662 ♀, Mus. Vind. 16.663 ♂ (NHMW)." Rajaei et al. (2023) bestätigten dies.
