Pekarsky (2013: 63): “The name “minima” refers to the small size of the moth in contrast to the largest representative of the genus, Lygephila maxima (Bremer, 1861).”

Locus typicus nach Pekarsky (2013: 62): “[Russia], Stavropolskiy krai, NW suburbs of station Podkumok”. Paratypen aus der Region Stavropol in Südrussland und aus Armenien.
