3.1. Faunistik
L. anatolica wurde nach Exemplaren aus der östlichen Türkei beschrieben: Marasch in Kleinasien und Taurus 50 km N Tarsus. Gozmány (1978: 94) kannte keine weiteren Fundpunkte. Die Art fand Eingang in die Europa-Listen von Karsholt & Razowski (1996), Leraut (1997), wo sie jeweils für Frankreich angeführt wurde. Auch in der Fauna Europaea wird sie bis heute [Fauna Europaea, abgefragt 2. August 2018] für Frankreich angeführt. Eine Quelle für diese Angabe ist uns nicht bekannt - erhebliche Zweifel erscheinen angebracht.
2018 konnte Barton erstmals über einen Fund eines Weibchens der Art auf Zypern berichten - womit die Art jetzt doch in die Europaliste gehört: "Oreites Forest Site A, 23.ix.2016, specimen IB2488, ♀, slide 924 (confirmed by SS)." Er schreibt dazu: "After finding no match for the genitalia for the Cyprus specimen in Gozmany (1978) the author did a web search for L. anatolica. This raised a paper on new microlepidoptera from Israel, including records of L. anatolica (Lvovsky et al., 2016). The identity of the author’s female specimen was confirmed by SS, one of the co-authors of the Israeli paper, who kindly dissected a female from the Israeli series of Lecithocera anatolica (which were themselves identified from two of the males in the series matching the holotype and them all being of similar habitus, from the same place, and caught at the same time). The Cyprus specimen and the Israeli specimen matched. The description of this unknown female is in prep."
Nach Huemer et al. (2025) gehören die Tiere von Zypern aber wegen ihres abweichenden Barcodes zu einer nich unklaren Lecithocera sp.
Lvovsky et al. (2016: 109) schreiben zu ihrem Erstnachweis für Israel: "Lecithocera anatolica Gozmány, 1978 New Record for Israel Material examined: 21 ♂♂, 1 ♀, East Galilee, Yftach, 28-31-V-2003, leg. G. Müller & V. Kravchenko (TAU, ZIN). General distribution: Israel and Turkey. Probably sub-endemic to the Levant. In Israel: Mediterranean Zone." Das Exemplar aus Zypern passt in diesen Zusammenhang.
