3.1. Etymologie

Ronkay et al. (2025: 91) erklären: "The new species is dedicated to Johanna Gunczy (Graz, Austria), curator of the Lepidoptera collection of the Museum Johanneum; expert of Carabidae."

3.2. Faunistik

Ronkay et al. (2025: 91) kennen ihre neu beschriebene Art nur durch 3 sehr alte Museumsbelege von "Sarepta" oder - noch ungenauer - Süd-Russland. Die ganze Gattung wurde von dort später nie mehr erwähnt.

3.3. Typenmaterial

Die 3 (männlichen) Typusexemplare sind alle uralt. Ronkay et al. (2025: 91) schreiben dazu: "Holotype. Male, "Süd-Russl., coll. P. Ronnicke", slide No.: RL13623m (coll. MJG). Paratypes. Russia. 1 male, "Süd-Russl., coll. P. Ronnicke", slide No.: RL13624m (coll. MJG); 1 male "Sarepta", "TMB" (pink label, with handwriting of Michael Fibiger) (coll. HNHM)."
