Nach [Global Biodiversity Information Facility] kommt die Art in Papua-Neuguinea, Australien, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesien, Indien, Philippinen, Sri Lanka, Brunei, China, Kambodscha, Salomon-Inseln, Singapur und Vietnam vor.

Locus typicus gemäß der Erstbeschreibung von Moore (1877: 607): "S. Andamans".

Borth & Kons (2022: 20) wrote about the distribution area: "The range of this relatively common species includes India, China, Indonesia, New Guinea and the Solomons (Holloway 2005)." Australien wird hier nicht erwähnt. Dort ist sie nach [butterflyhouse.com.au] auf Queensland beschränkt, wozu der oben gezeigte Belegfalter von Innisfail passt.
