Nach [Global Biodiversity Information Facility] kommt die Art in Indien, Malaysia, China und Vietnam vor.
Locus typicus gemäß Butler (1895: 126) Erstbeschreibung: Darjiling [Darjeeling ist eine Stadt im indischen Bundesstaat Westbengalen]. Der Autor begründete seine Beschreibung einer neuen, von Adris tyrannus [jetzt Eudocima tyrannus] getrennten Art: "Mr. Moore’s collection has now added three other examples from Darjiling, clearly demonstrating the fact that the Sikhim form differs constantly in certain characters from the widely distributed form of the East. I therefore no longer hesitate to name it."
Borth & Kons (2022: 20) sehen andere Verwechslungsmöglichkeiten mit damals noch unbeschriebenen Arten und umreißen das Verbreitungsgebiet: "It is distinguished from E. mionopasta as described above. The forewings vary from pale yellowish green to deep green. The hindwing marginal band is disjunct from the outer margin but is broader than in similar and allopatric E. mazzeii and E. behouneki. The range includes the Indian Subregion, Thailand, and Sundaland (Holloway 2005)."
