Locus typicus ist die Umgebung von Samarkand (Maracanda) in Usbekistan. Die Art ist aus Europa nur von Kreta bekannt. Sie tritt von dort an ostwärts über die Türkei (Taurus-Gebirge) bis Turkmenistan auf.
