3.1. Nahrung der Raupe

• [Cistaceae:] Helianthemum syriacum [= Helianthemum lavandulifolium, Helianthemum lavandulaefolium, Cistus lavandulaefolium] (Lavendelblättriges Sonnenröschen)

Gemäß Erstbeschreibung von wurde ein Exemplar der Art aus Südspanien (Cadiz, Chiclana) aus "Helianthemum lavandulaefolium" gezogen.

• Hypsolophus helianthemi Walsingham, 1903 [Originalkombination]

4.2. Faunistik

Locus typicus ist Chiclana (Cadiz, Spanien). Die Art wurde ansonsten in Süd-Frankreich und auf Sardinien nachgewiesen. Corley et al. (2016) fanden erstmals einen Falter in Portugal (Extremadura: Praia do Samouco).

Überraschenderweise fanden Huemer et al. (2025) die Art auch auf Zypern (BOLD:AAV6610): "4 exx: Cyprus, Limassol Akrotiri 2.xi.2019, J. Junnilainen leg. & det. 1 ex.: N Cyprus, Kyrenia/Girne, ca. 1.5 km W Akdeniz, 19 m, 32°56´42´´E, 35°18´4´´N, 10.xi.2025, P. Huemer leg. & det., TLMF coll."
