Nach [Afromoths] kommt die Art in Angola, Kamerun, der Demokratischen Republik Kongo, Äthiopien, Kenia, Malawi, Nigeria, Sudan, Tansania und Uganda vor.

Locus typicus: Lectotype ♂, Uganda, Unyoro, Fovira, 12.Mai 1897, leg. W. J. Ansorge, befindet sich im Natural History Museum (UK), London.
