Chou & Gu (1994: 772) beschrieben die Art nach einem einzigen Falter: “Holotype ♂, Hainan, 1983-VI-6, coll. Gu Maobin [...]. The type specimen is deposited in the Entomological Museum, Northwestern Agricultural University, Shaanxi.”
