Takano (2025) zog die bisherigen Gattungen Hemijana Aurivillius, 1901 und Catajana Strand, 1910 als Synonyme von Camerunia Aurivillius, 1893 ein, was zu entsprechenden Neukombinationen führte.

3.4. Faunistik
Nach [Global Biodiversity Information Facility] kommt die Art in Südafrika vor. Aurivillius (1893: 210) beschrieb seine Jana subrosea von "Transvaal" (Südafrika). Die Synonyme Hemijana ruberrima bzw. Hemijana subrosea f. distincta wurden von Angola (“Bibé” [sic = Kuito]) bzw. Sambia (“Monge” [sic = Monze]) beschrieben. Takano (2025: 160-163) meldete von ihm untersuchte Tiere darüber hinaus aus Angola, Botswana, Demokratische Republik Kongo, Tansania, Südafrika und Sambia. Daraus ergibt sich: "Widely distributed across more open woodland habitats in southern and central Africa, including Angola, D.R. Congo, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. It has also been recorded from Zimbabwe (Pinhey 1975) and may be found in Malawi and Mozambique."
