4.4. Taxonomie
Die Autoren schrieben: "Third, the species composition of the genus Sideridis Hübner, 1821 as delimited, for example, in Hacker et al. (2002), Aarvik et al. (2017) and Top et al. (2023) clearly needs further study, as it was not found to be monophyletic in our analysis. In fact, Noctua rivularis Fabricius, 1775 (type species of Aneda Sukhareva, 1973) (Figure 6h) was recovered as sister to the clade comprising Conisania Hampson, 1905 and Hadena Schrank, 1802 with maximum statistical support (Figure 5), whereas Sideridis reticulata (Goeze, 1781) (Figure 6i) appeared to be sister to a far larger assemblage of taxa including Hecatera Guenée, 1852, Hada Billberg, 1820, N. rivularis, Conisania and Hadena, also with maximum statistical support (Figure 5). According to Hacker et al. (2002), S. reticulata is more closely related to S. lampra (Schawerda, 1913), the type species of Sideridis (originally fixed as Noctua evidens Hübner, 1808 a senior albeit unusable synonym of lampra, which is a junior primary homonym of a Thunberg’s name), and thus, we tentatively consider this part of the paraphyletic genus to be the ‘true’ Sideridis. As for N. rivularis, our data indicate that it has to be moved to another genus. In many earlier publications, this species has been associated with Hadena (e.g., Forster & Wohlfahrt, 1971; Nowacki & Fibiger, 1996; Skou, 1991), but our results confirm that such position is erroneous. Thus, we suggest reviving Aneda Sukhareva, 1973 from synonymy with Sideridis and treating it as a full genus (stat. rev.) according to Beck (1996) and Rákosy (1997) in order to avoid paraphyletic groups, resulting in a combination Aneda rivularis (Fabricius, 1775) (comb. rev.) for its type species."
