2.1. Synonyme

• Anaphe euprepiaeformis (Herrich-Schäffer, 1855) [Synonym nach AfroMoths]

2.2. Taxonomie

Walker (1855: 856-857) stellte für seine neue Art eine neue Gattung auf: Anaphe reticulata ist daher Typusart der Gattung Anaphe.

2.3. Faunistik

Walker (1855: 856-857) berichtete in seiner Erstbeschreibung zur Herkunft des Typenmaterials: "Port Natal. From M. Gueinzius’ collection." Die Art wurde also von Durban in Südafrika beschrieben.

Nach [Global Biodiversity Information Facility] kommt die Art in Südafrika, Swasiland, Kenia, Simbabwe, Äthiopien, Mosambik, Tansania, Malawi, Sambia und Angola vor.
