Meyrick (1908: 510) beschrieb die Art nach 6 Exemplaren aus Assam (Shillong), also aus Indien. Arenberger (1994: 288) vermerkt zu Zypern: "Bei Hayward, 1938: 90 wird Alucita magadis Meyrick aus Platres, 6.-10. gemeldet. Hier handelt es sich um eine Fehlbestimmung." War damit die damals noch unbeschriebene Alucita klimeschi Scholz, 1997 gemeint ?
