4.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Die Art ist nach ihrem locus typicus Le Tarf benannt.

4.2. Faunistik

Nach der [Fauna Europaea] kommt die Art in Spanien und auf Sizilien vor. Die Meldung von Sizilien geht auf Razowski (2002) zurück, der berichtete: "This species described from North Africa was found in Sicily (no exact data; collection of the Museum für Naturkunde, Humboldt-Universität Berlin). It is recorded from Europe for the first time. Most probably its distribution area is wide at least in the area of the Western Mediterraneum."

Gibeaux (1983: 75): « Holotype : 1 ♂, Algérie, Le Tarf, 25-IV-1903 (collection D. Lucas) (prép. génit. Chr. Gibeaux n° 1383 ♂).

Paratypes : 4 ♂, mêmes provenance, date de capture et collection que l'holotype (l'un des paratypes, prßep. génit. Chr. Gibeaux n° 1355 ♂).

L'holotype et les paratypes sont conservés au Laboratoire d'Entomologie du Muséum de Paris. »
