2.1. Taxonomie und Faunistik

Die Art wurde von Kishida & Yoshimoto (1977: 145-146) vom Mt. Houfuanshan (3100m), Nantow, Formosa [heute Taiwan] beschrieben. Kishida & Yoshimoto (1977: 146) vermuteten, dass es sich um einen Endemiten der Insel handeln könnte. Ronkay & Ronkay (2023: 420) bestätigen das, merken aber an, dass es auf Taiwan noch eine zweite, sehr ähnliche, noch unbeschriebene Art gibt.

Kishida & Yoshimoto (1977: 146) informieren: "Holotype. ♂, Mt. Houfuanshan (3100m), Nantow, Formosa, Aug. 8,1974 (Y. Kishida), in Y. Kishida's collection. Paratypes. 1 ♂ 16 ♀♀, the same data as Holotype; 1 ♂ 1 ♀ Alishan, Chiai, Hsien, Aug. 12, 1974 (Y. Kishida); 1 ♀, Lishan, Taichung, Hsien, Aug. 9, 1971 (Y.Kishida). 3 ♀♀ from Mt. Houiuanshan will be preserved in the collection of the British Museum, Natural History, and other paratypes are in our collections."
