Laštůvka & Laštůvka (2007) erläutern: "Etymology. Named after Gerfried Deschka, who discovered this species and distinguished it as new."

Laštůvka & Laštůvka (2007) teilen mit: "Material. Holotype ♂, Crete, Lasithi, Kato Metohi, 29.iv.– 2.v.1993 ex l. (27.iv.1993, mine on Quercus coccifera), leg. et coll. G. Deschka; Paratypes 4 ♂♂, 7 ♀♀, same data, leg. et coll. G. Deschka."

Locus typicus: Griechenland, Kreta, Lasithi, Kato Metohi. Die Art ist bisher nur vom Typenfundort bekannt.
