Bengtsson (1997) erläutert: "The species is named in honour of the collector of most of the type series, Mr. Martin Corley, Faringdon, U.K."

"Holotype.- Male, labelled: [Portugal], P 1405, Carrapateira, Algarve, 18.4.93, M.F.V. Corley. - In coll. BÅB/ NRS (Stockholm).
Paratypes.- Male and female, data as in holotype. Genitalia on slides [Corley prep. 1404 and 1142]. - In coll. Corley.
2 females, labelled: Portugal, Carrapateira, Algarve, 21.iv.1992, leg. Corley. One female with genitalia on slide BÅB 3658. - In coll. BÅB.
