  • [Caryophyllaceae:] Silene nicaeensis
  • [Caryophyllaceae:] Herniaria sp. (Bruchkraut)

Stainton (1869: 221) schreibt: "Of this I bred a nice series from larvae and sans-cocoons collected at the roots of Silene nicaeensis in a sandy Wood near the coast, east of Cannes, on the 28th February. The Silene was in many places eaten nearly Level with the sand, the Young shoots having evidently been found highly palatable by some larvae. By searching amongst the loose sand at the roots of these plants Monsieur Millière and I collected a considerable number of the larvae". Stainton (1869: 357) ergänzt: "Silene nicaeensis, p. 221: the larvae and pupae of Gelechia provinciella found freely at the roots of this plant, the leaves of which had evidently been much eaten, February 28th."

Huemer (1988) nennt Herniaria sp. als weitere Nahrungspflanze der Art.
