3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
Corley (2014) erläutert: "The name algarbiella is an adjective derived from Algarve, the province of Portugal in which it occurs."
3.2. Faunistik
Nach Corley (2014) ist die neue Art bisher nur von den 5 Männchen der Typenserie bekannt: "The two sites are less than four kilometres apart between Loulé and São Brás de Alportel, on the Barrocal of the Algarve (Map 2). The Barrocal is a band of limestone forming a range of low hills running most of the length of the Algarve."
