2.1. Taxonomie
Aarvik et al. (2017) merken an: "Elachista saarelai Kaila & Sippola, 2010 was synonymized with E. kebneella (Traugott-Olsen & Nielsen, 1977) by Parenti & Pizzolato (2015). The two species are identical in barcodes, and morphological differences are subtle. Elachista saarelai has a two-year life cycle suggesting that it is a boreal species like E. kebneella. The former possibly occurs in central Finland and south central Norway as a glacial relict. However, Kaila & Sippola (2010) detected minor differences in the genitalia, for which reason we prefer to retain the status of E. saarelai as a valid species pending further taxonomic study."
