Kaila (2011: 89) erhob das Taxon aus der Synonymie zu E. catalana in den Artstatus. In der Fauna Europaea [Fauna Europaea, last update 23 July 2012, version 2.5] ist das noch nicht berücksichtigt.

3.2. Faunistik

Nach Kaila (2011: 94) kommt die Art auf Lesbos und Rhodos in Griechenland sowie in der Türkei vor.
