3.1. Nahrung der Raupe

• [Apiaceae:] Peucedanum officinale (Arznei-Haarstrang)

Bei Buchner & Corley (2025: 194) ist zu lesen: "Larva in shoot tips of Centaurea paniculata L. (Rymarczyk et al., in litt.); C. sterilis Stev. (Lvovsky, 1998); also in basal rosettes of Peucedanum officinale L. (R. Heckford & S. Beavan, in litt.)." Die Autoren kommentieren: "As far as known, A. squamosa is unique among European Depressariidae in having host-plants belonging to Asteraceae and Apiaceae." Hier ist jetzt zu fragen, ob Peucedanum officinale nicht nur ausnahmsweise mit gefressen wurde, oder ob das eine normale Erscheinung ist; und natürlich ist zu klären, ob es eventuell regionale Unterschiede gibt.

4.3. Taxonomie

Buchner & Corley (2025: 193-195) merken an: "Agonopterix budashkini was described from several reared males and females from Crimea. It was differentiated from A. squamosa by grey colorationon parts of fore and mid-legs and slight differences in male genitalia. We find that these characters fall within the variaation of A. squamosa, therefore, A. budashkini is herewith synonymised with A. squamosa."
