Hayward (1940: 866): “Holotype male and allotype female from Santa Inez, 1200 m. Paratypes from Rio Mapoto, 1400 m; Rio Margarjitas, 1250 m, Hacienda San Rafael, 2800 m; Rio San Pedro, 2700 m; Pichincha, 3000 m; Santa Inez, 1200 m; Uyambiche, 2700 m; Chillo Valley, 2400 m; Macas, 1000 m (Macintyre, F.M. and Mrs. Brown). Specimens have been deposited in the American Museum of Natural History.”
